The Artist Behind the Lens

I grew up in the small town of Zeeland, Michigan where I still live with my husband, Kevin, two sons, and daughter. I have loved everything to do with art since a young age. From painting, drawing, molding, and pretty much anything I could make a mess out of. One of these artistic loves included photography.  In 2020 I decided to start taking photography seriously and within 1.5 years I went full time. Outside of photography I am a very chill to the core human being that loves to spend time in Gods creation with my family. Hearing my children's laughs will always be my happy place. I am A strong believer that a girls night is always healing to any situation and a good book is priceless.

My style is is a natural, simple look that leans into greens and shadows. I take the colors in the photos and I slightly enhance them to make them stand out more, but still look natural and clean. I shoot a mixture of candid with lots of movement that looks authentic and a lot of editorial style where you are posed with a serious tone. I love to mix in detail shots and grain to give off filmy vibes. My number one goal is to get you to enjoy your session and forget that you are in front of the camera. I want people to be able to feel my photos not just see them.

I married Kevin in 2018 in Holland, MI. One thing that drew me to Kevin was how creative he was. He just so happens to be my main second shooter and his eye for detail is amazing.
